EDUCATE AND HELP PEOPLE WITH BUILDING AND MAINTAINING KOI PONDS

HOUSTON KOI AND POND SOCIETY

formerly the Lonestar Koi Club

The Houston Koi & Pond Society is an affiliate of the Associated Koi Clubs of America (AKCA) and proud member of the Texas Association of Pond Societies.

Our club’s mission is to educate and help people with building and maintaining koi ponds.  Our nonprofit organization meets monthly on the third Sunday in the afternoon at members’ homes and enjoys the sharing of ideas, lectures, education, and the camaraderie of fellow hobbyists.  Our club is also an advocate for the AKCA Project KHV which is raising funds and awareness for the fight against the Koi Herpes Virus.  In addition, we hold clinics, shows, koi rescues, and tours.  Please feel free to attend our meetings and join our club.

Membership is through an online application   Any person who has an interest in Koi culture shall be eligible for membership. Upon application and payment of dues the application will be presented to the membership present at any regular or special meeting to which the membership of the Society has been given proper notice and upon majority vote the applicant will become a member of the Society in good standing.

Please let us rescue your koi and find good homes for them
